Internship
At James R. Guerra Architects, internships provide students and emerging designers with meaningful exposure to the professional practice of architecture. Our interns work alongside experienced architects and project managers, contributing to real projects while gaining insight into the full design and documentation process.
Interns are introduced to a range of project types—including multifamily housing, mixed-use developments, and civic projects—and participate in tasks such as design studies, 3D modeling, drawing preparation, and research related to zoning, code compliance, and materials. Through this experience, interns develop a practical understanding of how projects move from early concept to construction documentation.
We believe that internships should be both educational and collaborative. Interns are encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, and actively engage with the studio environment. Our team is committed to mentoring the next generation of architects by providing guidance, professional insight, and opportunities to learn within a working design office.
Students currently pursuing a degree in architecture or a related field are encouraged to apply. Candidates with experience in Revit, AutoCAD, and visualization tools are preferred.
